What is e-residency?
e-Residency is a transnational digital identity available to anyone in the world interested in administering a location-independent business online. e-Residency enables to use secure and convenient digital services that facilitate credibility and trust online.

Application process
The e-resident’s ID card can be applied for online.
General process
- Gather your documents
- Submit your application online (€100 by Visa or Mastercard)
- The Estonian Police & Border Guard Board will review your application (6-8 weeks)
- If approved, pick up your e-Residency kit at the pick up location you chose when you applied

Picking up the e-resident’s digital ID card
As the ID-card reaches the Embassy, the applicant will be notified by email. The ID-card must be picked up personally at the Embassy and the applicant must bring his or her passport.
