The “Hortus Musicus”- Estonian musical group, founded in 1972 by Estonian conductor and violinist Anders Mustonen is considered to be the oldest active ensemble for ancient music in Europe . Over the years, Mustonen and Hortus Musicus have performed at many festivals around the world and recorded 25 albums mostly with repertoire that encompasses the musical history of Europe – from the Gregorian chorale to the great baroque composers of the 18th century.
